The big switch
My passion for blogging was ignited when one of my friend's started to blog. Blogspot had been my outlet for the past 8 years although i may not have been active for a couple of years, i would always go back to one thing that i love which was writing. I went to an event yesterday and had a chat with a couple of bloggers since for the past few months now i had been deliberating on getting this url switched to a full pledged website. it must have been fate when one of the new found blogger friends told me that there was a sale on one of the hosting site with a free domain already. so first thing this morning i checked out godaddy.com and indeed the sale was just right for my needs. I immediately went to the bank and activated my online account so i can transfer money to my paypal account. Before i went home i already purchased and activated my website which is now up and running. It would still be a work in progress as i have to make a lot of adjustments. Please support my new site which is www.chasingcuriousalice.com like, follow on instagram, twitter and facebook. This blospot account would be turned into another site as I need to organized my post in the right manner. bear with me guys because change is still coming and this would be worth it .

Work in progress
This post is long overdue as it was supposed to be included on the reason why i took a long hiatus from blogging way back 2011. My 2009 to 2013 post had been hidden for public view as it was the phase that i was writing more poems. This blog would be under renovation for the next few days. I do have a lot to review like places i have already visited, vacation pics that i have not posted, music that i have just discovered, movies and books that i have already read. So be patient with me guys cause in the next few days you would see the new version of a bigger and better reflection of my own wonderland.

Laid-back night at Coffee 8065
It was a Friday night when me and my friend decided to catch up around makati and she recommend this place called coffee 8065. I only knew 8065 bagnet at taft which was both owned by kitchie nadal. The place was a bit crowded when we got there but for me it was not that congested unlike the usual coffee shops that we go to. The only seat that was available was outside and the lighting was a bit dim hence the picture below.

I opted for the strawberry vanilla milkshake as it was too hot that day and my friend ordered cafe mocha and it was such a great deal given that it was only around less than 100 pesos. We both ordered the grilled sausage bacon tomato pasta which won me over because i absolutely love everything that has bacon and it was only P120. I was so amazed with the place as it was on a quiet location and they do cater to basketball fanatics as they were televising the old nba playoffs. The food taste good like the panini was grilled right and does not taste burnt . The pasta was scrumptious not too dry and just the right amount of bacon was incorporated which i think was what balanced the taste which was not too salty nor sweet plus they use fresh tomatoes . As for the milkshake for me it tasted like the candy monami which is not too sweet nor too bland. I would definitely go back to this place soon.
The Pros
The food is affordable and tasty
Basketball fanatics can enjoy the sports channel
Great for catch up with friends
The cons
Nothing
Rating
would be 8/10 as i would like to explore more of their menu

Happy 9 year anniversary Banapple
“We must have a pie. Stress cannot exist in the presence of a pie.”
― David Mamet, Boston Marriage
― David Mamet, Boston Marriage
Indeed a pie can alleviate stress specially if the price of that delicious banoffee pie is only P9. Banapple announced their P9 banoffee pie for the first 90 customer today. I got to work around 8:30 am and I have already anticipated that there would be a long line at their ayala triangle branch. I went out to deliver some documents around 9 am. Knowing that it had already been an hour since the store opened, I already gave up the hope that I can avail their promo.Admitting defeat I decided to buy their chicken pie instead and when I got to the branch the lady in front of me told me that the 90 customers was already completed. I shrugged my shoulders and continue to fall in line and when i was near the counter I ordered for one cheese cake and one chicken pie on the go. The lady on the cashier asked if I had a number for the banoffee pie and I told her that I was not able to get one. She told me that there was one slot left for the 9 pesos banoffee pie so she included that with my order, talk about my lucky day. I went back to the office with my 9 peso banoffee pie and my all time favorite cheese cake.Thank you banapple for making my morning great. Happy 9 years of bringing us your delicious cakes and pies.

its always tea time at TWG
“A cup of tea would restore my normality."
[Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Screenplay]”
― Douglas Adams
I fell in love with TWG when SS gave me a box of their scrumptious tea infused macarons last year. So after my nephew's birthday party, my best friend and i decided to go to resorts world to watch a movie. But because there was no movie that time that piqued our interest we agreed to have some tea. So we went to TWG to have our tea fix and was given this tea book which i took time to explore as they have a wide selection of tea to choose from. So if you are not sure what kind of tea would be best for you the store attendant would definitely help you with that,
checking out the cutlery while waiting for our order
Reminds me of the mad hatter
We opted to have the chic set for P550 which consist of chocolate earl grey tea and 2 scones which was served with TWG tea jelly and whipped cream . According to their tea attendant this rich and aromatic black tea is accented with fresh notes of rare TWG tea bergamot and pure dark chocolate which unite to create a marvellous and blissful blend. It was indeed a gastronomic experience as it delighted my senses due to its calming scent and the fact that i fancy anything that has dark chocolate.
The scones on the other hand was not as exciting as the tea because it was too dry for my taste but when your pair it with the TWG tea jelly and the whipped cream it becomes one tasty treat,
We also ordered earl grey fortune & chocolate macaron was tasty, The bitterness of the tea combined with the sweetness of the chocolate balance out the taste. The vanilla bourbon tea and kaya on the other hand according to my friend was sweet yet tasty as well, I would definitely go back to taste their other tea's
The pros
Customer service was great they will even recommend the best tea according to your preference
Great tasting tea and macarons
The Cons
Not affordable but its worth it
Rating
8/10 will go back to try their other tea's
